Eid al-Adha date officially announced in Uzbekistan

It has been officially confirmed that the blessed Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on May 27 this year in Uzbekistan. A presidential decree on the celebration of Eid al-Adha was adopted on May 20.

In accordance with the decree, to further strengthen the atmosphere of peace, kindness, and solidarity in the country, the information from the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan that the first day of Eid al-Adha in 2026 falls on Wednesday, May 27, was accepted, and this date was designated as a public holiday.

Furthermore, according to Article 208 of the Labor Code of Uzbekistan, the first day of Eid al-Adha is officially a non-working public holiday.

It is noted that, in accordance with the President's Decree No. PF-257 dated December 24, 2025, additional holidays have also been established.

Including:

— Thursday, May 28, and Friday, May 29, will be additional non-working days for all employees;
— For those working a six-day work week, Saturday, May 30, is also designated as a day off.
