
Netflix's film "The Rise of the Last Conqueror", which is based on the life of the scholar, commander and one of the founders of the empire - Amir Temur, has recently entered the post-production stage. This large-scale project based on historical events is expected to become an important event not only for Uzbekistan, but also for the entire Central Asian cinema.
Real scenes, real atmosphere

The filming process was organized entirely in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. So far, it can be seen from the footage that the creators tried to naturally revive history without damaging the beauty of ancient cities. Scenes such as Khiva, Bukhara, Samarkand gave life to the film.

Realistic market scenes, national costumes, historical architecture, combat training processes, and the appearance of a warrior who has lived for centuries will make a huge impression.

In the image of Temur - a Hollywood star

The image of Amir Temur was played by Hollywood actor Christian Mortensen. His actions in the fight scenes and his Turkish appearance also indicate that the famous casting specialists made the right choice. Along with him, such talented creative people as Mahesh Jadu (in the role of Amir Husayn), as well as Uzbek actress Yulduz Rajabova (Uljoi Turkon Khatuni) also participated in the filming process.
Epic historical setting and perfect preparation

The film is directed by Jacob Schwartz, and the script is written by Matthew Green. According to them, the main goal of the project is to combine historical events with modern technology, presenting each scene vividly, impressively and based on documentary sources. All the advanced technologies of modern cinematography, drones and running cameras, and special scenery were used in the filming.

When will the premiere be?
According to official information released by Netflix, the premiere of “The Rise of the Last Conqueror” is expected to be shown in the summer of 2025. It will tell about Timur’s youth, his efforts to unify the state, and his unique military talent.
