"Paranormal Phenomenon" to Be Relaunched

“Paranormal Activity” will be rebooted

The popular “Paranormal Activity” film series will return to audiences with a new installment.

This project represents a reboot of the franchise, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, it will be executed by renowned producer James Wan and the original creator Oren Peli. Paramount Studios has yet to reveal the project details.

James Wan is considered one of the most well-known directors in the horror genre over the past two decades. He is recognized as the creator of franchises such as “Saw,” “The Conjuring,” and “Insidious.”

The “Paranormal Activity” franchise debuted in 2007 and consists of found-footage-style horror films. These films narrate the story of invisible demonic forces that haunt families.

The events are primarily portrayed through recordings from home surveillance cameras.
