An expanded meeting of the Security Council was held under the chairmanship of the President of Uzbekistan, dedicated to the fundamental improvement of the country's defense capability. The Head of State, summarizing the achievements in the field, emphasized the need to transform the armed forces based on digital technologies and artificial intelligence to counter modern threats.
Modern warfare and new military strategy
At the meeting, it was noted that today the scale of regional conflicts is expanding, and the norms of international law are weakening. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief emphasized that traditional fighting styles are becoming a thing of the past:
- Technological priority: Now victory will be ensured not by the number of soldiers or tanks, but by artificial intelligence, remotely controlled robotic systems, and cybertechnologies.
- Proactive mode: Each system must switch to "proactive mode" to anticipate and quickly respond to risks.
- Doctrine update: Due to changing circumstances, the 1997 National Security Concept and the Defense Doctrine of eight years ago were instructed to be revised. The new document preserves Uzbekistan's non-alignment status with military blocs.
"During service - the path to success"
The President announced revolutionary news about turning the army into a platform not only for physical training, but also for future professional development for young people:
- Professional Certificate: Soldiers undergo vocational training and receive a certificate based on 3-6 month programs.
- IT Education: Every year, 5,000 soldiers undergo training within the framework of "One Million Programmers" and artificial intelligence projects.
- Educational benefits: During the period of service, it is possible to take an exam at the university and become a student. Former soldiers who enter the university will be provided with interest-free educational loans, and the costs of obtaining a foreign language certificate will be covered.
- Employment: A 10% discount is provided for entering public service, and the state pays 6% of the entrepreneurial loan.
"In a word, 'term military service should become the path to success for young people,'" the president said.
"Continuous analysis of the regional and global situation, strengthening the potential of our national army is a requirement of today. "The army of Uzbekistan must always be ready for the defense of the people, for this it must be fast, high-tech, and adapted to new combat conditions," the president said.
Social support for military personnel
In order to appreciate the work of the defenders of the Motherland, the head of state announced an increase in salaries from April 1:
- From April 1, the seniority bonus for officers of the Ministry of Defense will be doubled. The monthly salaries of privates and sergeants serving under contract will be increased by 10 percent.
- The salaries of non-military personnel of the territorial departments and divisions of defense affairs will be increased by 20 percent this year and by another 50 percent next year.
- For military personnel who have served in the Armed Forces for more than 30 years, the monthly salary amount taken into account when calculating pensions will be increased from 75 to 100 percent.
- Also, housing construction for military personnel will be expanded, and a new draft law on pension provision will be developed.
"Valuing the work of military personnel, social protection of their family members and military pensioners should always be at the center of our attention," the head of state said and announced major innovations in this regard.
"In general, the new doctrine should serve as a basis for the technological renewal of the army and the introduction of advanced military solutions," the president said.
Spirituality and Sport: A New Approach
In order to enrich the spiritual world of military personnel, a total of 1 million copies of fiction books will be delivered to all units. The length of service of the winners of the reading competition will be reduced by one month. In sports, tournaments in esports, drones, and robotics have been added to the list of traditional competitions.
At the end of the meeting, the head of our state sincerely congratulated all defenders of the Motherland on the 34th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces.
