Uzbekistan Armed Forces reforms: new milestones and achievements

At a Security Council meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the outcomes of reforms implemented in the country’s Armed Forces in recent years were discussed. In particular, attention was paid to equipping the army with modern weapons and military hardware, and to consistently raising the level of combat and moral-psychological readiness.

According to reports, new tactical methods have been introduced in the troops of the Ministry of Defense, and the number and intensity of exercises have increased by 1.5 times. In addition, UAV units and training centers for drone specialists were established to respond to modern threats. These measures aim to keep the army in step with the times and improve its effectiveness.

Through digitalization, information security, the command-and-control system, and service efficiency have improved significantly. It should be recalled that within these reforms, increases in soldiers’ salaries and pensions were announced, further strengthening comfort and respect for service members.

Uzbekistan’s Armed Forces are ready for growth, improvement, and processes on a new scale. We believe in the army’s new achievements, and every reform is a major step toward ensuring the country’s security.
