Missile strikes on Iran intensify: highest bridge destroyed

Tensions in the Middle East are escalating. As the military campaign involving Israel and the United States enters its 34th day, strikes on key strategic sites in Iran continue. Videos circulating on social media show that the events have taken on a more serious tone, showing missile bases and major infrastructure targets.

One of the most sensational incidents was the attack on a key bridge in the city of Karaj, west of Tehran. This bridge was located on a strategic road connecting the capital with the western regions of the country. The bridge was severely damaged as a result of the attack, and according to some reports, it was even rendered practically unusable.

US President Donald Trump did not remain indifferent to this incident and published a video on his Truth Social page showing the consequences of the strike. In his statement, he called the bridge “one of the largest structures in Iran” and noted that it would no longer be rebuilt. At the same time, he hinted that more important news would be coming soon.

The Iranian side responded swiftly to these actions. The country's authorities have pointed to bridges located in Israel and other countries in the Middle East as possible targets. This increases the risk of further escalation of the conflict.

It is noted that the destroyed bridge is not only important from a transport point of view, but is also considered a “bright example of the Iranian engineering school” and a symbol of national pride. The B1 bridge, whose construction was not yet fully completed, was distinguished by its enormous dimensions: its length was 1,050 meters, and its pillars were 136 meters high.

Unfortunately, the attack did not go without human casualties. According to Iranian state sources, at least eight people were killed and several more civilians were injured to varying degrees during the attack.

At the same time, explosions were also heard in the capital Tehran. Local residents reported that at least eight explosions occurred in the eastern and northeastern parts of the city. This situation has further increased anxiety among the population.

International media are also closely following the events. In particular, BBC Verify has verified the authenticity of videos showing strikes on a missile base near the city of Isfahan. The footage clearly shows powerful explosions, secondary detonations, flames and thick plumes of smoke.

Another video was also reported to have been taken near the airport in the northeastern city of Mashhad, Iran. It shows thick smoke rising. It is not yet clear what is burning there, but local sources suggest that the attack may have been aimed at a fuel depot. It is known that an air force base is also located in this area.

The whole situation shows that the conflict is entering a new phase, not only militarily, but also geopolitically. While world leaders are trying to defuse the situation, events on the frontline are, on the contrary, intensifying.

In short, this confrontation may continue for a long time. Therefore, there is a high probability that more serious and important news will appear in the coming days.
