Financial Inclusion in Uzbekistan Reaches 60%

Financial inclusion in Uzbekistan reaches 60%
Financial inclusion in Uzbekistan continues to grow. While this indicator stood at 37% in 2017, it reached 60% in 2024.

This was reported by the organizers of a conference on remittances held by IFAD and the Central Bank. It was also noted that 61% of Uzbek women now have bank accounts, compared to 59% of men.

Opportunities for digital financial services remain significant. In the country, 82% of adults use mobile phones, and 69% use smartphones.

The gap between urban and rural areas is minimal: in urban areas, the rate is 86%, while in rural areas it is 80%. This indicates that many families already possess the technical conditions necessary for digital inclusion.
