Venezuela sets a record with gold reserves

It was reported that Venezuela currently has gold reserves of 161 tons. This volume is approximately 5.18 million troy ounces, and when the price of one ounce of gold is set at 4,300 US dollars, the total value is about 22 billion dollars.
This indicator makes Venezuela the country with the largest gold reserves among Latin American countries. Experts note that when the price of gold increases by every $100, the total value of the country's reserves increases by approximately $518 million.
Thus, Venezuela's gold reserves are an important strategic factor for the country's economy.
