
The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan forecasts state budget revenues of 515.4 trillion soum for 2026. The budget deficit is expected to account for 3 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP).
The primary source of state treasury revenue will be value-added tax (VAT), which is projected to make up approximately 40 percent of total revenues. Direct taxes will account for 22 percent, while property and resource taxes are expected to comprise 18 percent.
Excise taxes will contribute 10 percent, while customs duties will make up 8 percent. In 2027, state budget revenues are estimated to reach approximately 585–590 trillion soum, and this figure is expected to rise to 655 trillion soum in 2028.
According to ministry representatives, economic growth will be moderate and will not exert excessive pressure on businesses. In terms of budget expenditures, a total of 567 trillion soum is expected to be allocated in 2026.
Education, healthcare, social protection, and security remain the primary expenditure areas. Additionally, the state will place special emphasis on environmental and water resource management.
In the field of social protection, measures to enhance targeted assistance are planned. For the upcoming year, 24 percent of total expenditures are expected to be directed towards education, 10 percent towards healthcare, and 18 percent towards the social sector.
