Liverpool defeated Real: Mac Allister's goal was decisive

In the central Champions League match at Anfield Stadium, Liverpool defeated Real Madrid 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by Alexis Mac Allister with a header following an assist from Soboslai.

The Spaniards defended fiercely, but they could not find a way to break Mamardashvili’s goal. The match started at a high pace, but no goals were observed in the opening minutes.

The Reds tried to attack through the flanks. Courtois saved his team twice from Soboslai’s shots.

Real responded with quick attacks from Vinicius and Mbappé. In the second half, the home side increased their advantage in aerial duels.

A series of corners put significant pressure on the opponent. In the 63rd minute, Soboslai delivered the ball from the right wing, and Mac Allister struck a precise header into the top of the net, opening the scoring.

This time, Courtois couldn't save it. The Madrid side tried to answer with chances for Rodrygo and Mbappé.

Mbappé’s dangerous shot went just wide of the post. Vinicius was active on the left flank, but Konate and Robertson managed to block his efforts.

In the last minutes of the match, Real focused their attacks on Mamardashvili’s penalty area. However, shots from distance were blocked by defenders.

To consolidate midfield, Liverpool brought on Gakpo and Jones, closed the zones, and retained the result. Soboslai’s assist and Mac Allister’s timely action broke the balance of the game.

After the goal, Liverpool played pragmatically and safely. This victory was an important step for Liverpool in the group stage.

However, Real suffered from a lack of precision in their finishing attacks.
