Exchange rates of the dollar, euro, and ruble for December 22 announced

The Central Bank has updated the official exchange rates of foreign currencies for December 22. According to the updated data, the US dollar rate has decreased again, declining by 25.47 soums to stand at 11,996.14 soums. This indicates a short-term strengthening of the national currency's position.

Meanwhile, the Russian ruble also lost value, dropping by 1.9 soums and being recorded at 148.54 soums. The decrease in the euro exchange rate was relatively significant, falling by 41.85 soums to reach 14,051.08 soums.

As of 4:10 PM on December 19, Friday, the current exchange rates in commercial banks were also announced. Banks are buying the dollar at 11,985 soums and offering it to customers at 12,025 soums. For the Russian ruble, the purchase rate is 141 soums, while the selling rate is 151 soums.

For the euro, banks are purchasing it at 14,020 soums and selling it at 14,100 soums. According to experts, such fluctuations in the currency market are linked to external economic factors and the balance of supply and demand in the domestic market.

The direction of exchange rates in the coming days is being closely monitored by market participants.
