On November 12, 2025, the Uzbekistan national swimming team achieved remarkable success at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by securing two gold medals for the country. In the 400-meter freestyle swimming competition, Ilya Sibirsev delivered an outstanding performance to claim the gold medal.
This marks the athlete’s second gold medal at this tournament. Following his victory, Eldor Usmonov won the championship in the 100-meter butterfly event.
Our compatriot outpaced his closest competitors, adding another gold medal to the team’s tally. On the same day, Uzbekistan’s swimming team secured two more gold medals, further solidifying their position in the overall medal standings of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games.
