Former Liverpool striker Fernando Torres shared his thoughts on the work of the team’s current head coach Arne Slot. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
The Dutch specialist led the Reds to the Premier League title in his very first season in England. However, results this season have been less consistent: the Merseyside club sit 4th in the table and trail leaders Arsenal by 10 points.
“I think it’s time for Slot to prove that he’s the right man for Liverpool. Last season was fantastic—he won the Premier League, which is a very difficult task for any coach. Slot succeeded in his first season, so he knows what it takes to win. Now that difficulties have started, he has to show he can turn things around. I hope he does,” Torres was quoted as saying by Anything Liverpool.
On Thursday, 1 January, Liverpool will host Leeds at Anfield.
