Riyadh 2025: Uzbekistan's Achievements Continue


On November 17, 2025, Uzbek athletes once again achieved remarkable success at the Sixth Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh. Competing in track and field events and taekwondo, they won medals of various distinctions.

Barnohon Sayfullayeva claimed the gold medal in the high jump competition with a result of 1.84 meters. Valeriya Gorbatova secured the bronze medal by clearing 1.81 meters.

Both athletes demonstrated consistent and confident performances throughout the competition, earning their place among the medalists. Uzbekistan’s male representatives also achieved success in the hammer throw event.

Suxrob Khozhaev won the silver medal with a throw of 74.44 meters, while Ayubkhan Fayozov earned the bronze medal with a result of 74.12 meters. They showcased their skills in a highly competitive environment.

The evening program featured the finals in taekwondo. In the 63 kg weight category, Diyora Azizova defeated her Nigerian opponent to win the bronze medal.

This victory further strengthened Uzbekistan's overall medal tally at the games.
