On the evening of November 24, 2025, Al-Duhail defeated Al-Ittihad 4-2 in an AFC Champions League match. Although Karim Benzema scored a brace in an attempt to add intrigue to the game, it was not enough to change the outcome.
The match started very actively, with the hosts scoring an early goal. In the 5th minute, Adil Bulbina opened the scoring after a pass from Alberto Luis.
Though Al-Ittihad tried to respond, Al-Duhail continued their attacks. In the 33rd minute, Bulbina scored again after an accurate pass from Verratti, increasing the lead to 2-0.

However, Al-Ittihad did not give up. In the 76th minute, Diaby set up Benzema for a shot, and the striker reduced the deficit.
In the 83rd minute, Benzema, receiving a pass from Doumbia, netted his second goal to complete a brace. Nevertheless, the visitors were unable to influence the final result of the match.
Al-Duhail controlled the game throughout and secured an important three points.
