On November 30, 2025, in the 13th round of Italy's Serie A, "Inter" secured a 2-0 victory against "Pisa" in an away match. The team’s win was ensured by Lautaro Martínez’s brace in the second half.
The beginning of the match was uneventful for "Inter." Cristian Chivu's team maintained possession for most of the game but lacked effectiveness in converting chances into goals.
"Pisa," on the other hand, launched quick attacks from the flanks through Touré, Nzola, and Meystre. Although the hosts came close to Inter's penalty area several times, goalkeeper Sommer confidently dealt with the situations.
At the same time, shots from Martínez and Thuram did not pose significant trouble for "Inter," as the host team's goalkeeper Scuffet successfully handled long-range strikes and crosses. The first half ended goalless.
"Inter" gained control of the game but struggled to create clear-cut chances near Pisa’s goal. Early in the second half, Chivu brought on Zieliński, followed by Diouf and Esposito, to bolster the team’s flanks.
Barella and Çalhanoğlu became more active in midfield. During this phase, "Pisa" had an opportunity when Nzola’s shot narrowly missed the goalpost.
In the 69th minute, Inter’s high press paid off. Esposito and Zieliński won possession near Pisa’s penalty area and initiated an attack.
Esposito crossed the ball into the penalty area from the flank, and Martínez directed it into the bottom left corner of the net with a single strike. "Pisa" attempted to alter the game through set-pieces and crosses, but Inter’s defense, particularly Bastoni and Acerbi, remained solid.
In the 83rd minute, "Inter" doubled their lead to secure the victory. After Zieliński passed the ball to Diouf, Barella progressed into the penalty area and crossed the ball to the far post.
Martínez escaped Touré’s marking and calmly directed the ball into the net. Towards the end of the game, Chivu substituted Martínez and switched to a strategy focused on maintaining possession.
"Pisa" made some final attempts through Meystre and Touré but failed to score. This victory allowed "Inter" to collect 27 points and climb to third place in the standings.
The Milan side remains among the contenders for the Scudetto title. "Pisa," with 10 points, stays in 18th place and will need to continue fighting to avoid relegation this season.
