Phil Foden: Guardiola has made Manchester City united again

Manchester City attacking midfielder Phil Foden shared his thoughts on head coach Pep Guardiola’s approach this season and the changes within the squad. According to the England international, after last season’s setbacks the “Citizens” have found their way again, with Guardiola playing a decisive role in that process.
Foden noted that the Catalan coach has “reset the system” and managed to unite the players around a single goal. He also added that bringing in new players has given City extra competition and a fresh mental boost.
“I think Guardiola has brought Manchester City back to its old spirit and brought the team together again. He’s also brought in new players. Right now we’re definitely on the right path,” Foden said.
For the record, Guardiola’s side sit 2nd in the Premier League table after 21 matches. The Citizens are currently 6 points behind leaders Arsenal, but there is still plenty of time to close the gap in the remaining part of the season.
In short, City are starting to rediscover their identity: where there is order, confidence and unity, results follow. Now the key is to keep this direction all the way to the finish.
