Real Madrid could dismiss Xabi Alonso

The likelihood of Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso leaving the team is reportedly increasing. According to Spanish journalist Jose Felix Diaz, Alonso’s position has significantly weakened following a 1-2 defeat to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.

Even if the team secures a victory in their La Liga match against Alaves next Sunday, the coach may still face dismissal. The club’s management reportedly lacks confidence in Alonso's ability to turn the situation around and considers his dismissal a matter of time.

As a reminder, Xabi Alonso replaced Carlo Ancelotti as head coach in June of this year. The match between Real Madrid and Alaves is scheduled for Sunday within the La Liga framework.
