Boeing delays 787 Dreamliner deliveries due to engine shortages

Boeing has announced new delays in the delivery of its 787 Dreamliner long-haul aircraft. According to the company's head, Kelly Ortberg, a portion of the completed liners cannot be handed over to customers. Ixbt.com reports on this.
This is being caused by issues related to suppliers.
The primary problems involve engine shortages and a prolonged certification process for new seats in business and first-class cabins. Now, the delays are no longer tied to the aircraft production itself, but rather to critical components coming from external partners.
In the Dreamliner program, customers have the option to choose between GE and Rolls-Royce engines. However, both manufacturers are facing difficulties due to high demand and constraints in the production chain.
Aircraft continue to roll off the assembly line. In the first quarter, Boeing delivered 15 liners to customers, but a portion of the finished machines are still awaiting components.
Despite the challenges, demand for the 787 model remains high, and the order portfolio exceeds 1,100 aircraft.
