May holidays: Consecutive days off announced

In accordance with a presidential decree adopted in December 2025, one of the significant changes in the 2026 labor schedule pertains to the May holidays. Specifically, as May 9 — Remembrance and Appreciation Day — falls on a Saturday this year, the day off has been transferred as an additional convenience.
According to the decision, Monday, May 11, has been officially designated as a transferred day off for employees on a five-day work week. This creates an opportunity for three consecutive days of rest.
Namely:
- May 9, Saturday — regular day off;
- May 10, Sunday — regular day off;
- May 11, Monday — transferred day off due to the holiday.
Thus, a "mini-vacation" will occur for those working on a five-day schedule. It is no exaggeration to say that this is an excellent opportunity to spend time with family, travel, or simply rest.
For those on a six-day work week, the rest schedule differs slightly. A two-day consecutive break has been established for them:
- May 9, Saturday — day off in observance of Remembrance and Appreciation Day;
- May 10, Sunday — regular day off.
This arrangement serves to increase labor productivity, create favorable conditions for employees, and ensure holiday periods are spent meaningfully.
In short, May is an ideal time for a "restart" from work. Taking a short break and returning with renewed energy is the most effective strategy.
