The date for the Eid al-Adha holiday in 2026 has been officially announced in Kyrgyzstan. According to the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, this great holiday will be celebrated on May 27.
As is known, Eid al-Adha is considered one of the most important and sacred holidays in the Islamic world. Its date is determined based on the Hijri — lunar calendar, and for this reason, it changes every year in the Gregorian calendar. This holiday coincides with the conclusion of the Hajj pilgrimage and holds special spiritual significance for Muslims.
The holiday days are typically spent with prayers, acts of charity, and deeds of kindness. One of the main rituals is the sacrifice, through which providing assistance to the needy and strengthening compassion and kindness are promoted.
