By agreement with the coach, Cristiano Ronaldo has not been featuring in AFC Champions League Two group-stage matches. Even so, Al Nassr keep delivering results without their leader. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

On Wednesday, the Saudi club also won their fifth group match: in Tajikistan, Istiklol suffered a heavy 0–4 defeat. The win secured Al Nassr first place in the group and a spot in the next round.

After the match, Ronaldo reposted a social media post about his team advancing to the next stage as group leaders and added two emojis — fire and applause.

The 40-year-old forward’s current contract with Al Nassr runs until mid-2027.
