Alvarez's agent denies reports of searching for a home in Barcelona

Fernando Hidalgo, the agent for Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, has firmly dismissed reports claiming the player is searching for a home in Barcelona ahead of a potential summer transfer. Hidalgo labeled the rumors "1000% false," clarifying that Alvarez’s family only visited the city recently for a match and returned to Madrid immediately afterward. Despite the denial, Barcelona reportedly maintains a strong interest in the Argentine international as a primary candidate to eventually succeed Robert Lewandowski.
Fernando Idalgo, the agent of «Atletiko» forward Xulian Alvares, has responded to reports regarding the player's potential move to «Barselona» during the summer transfer window. The agent called information claiming that the forward, who is of interest to Catalan coach Xansi Flik, is looking for a house in another Spanish city completely baseless. Goal.com reports this.
Idalgo strongly denied reports circulating on social media that Alvares's brothers were allegedly scouting real estate in Catalonia. According to him, the player's family members last visited Barcelona only for «Atletiko»'s match against the team and returned to Madrid immediately after the game.

“This is 1000 percent false. No family member has been to Barcelona. The last time they went was for the match, and they returned to Madrid the next day,” the agent emphasized in an interview with Mundo Deportivo. Idalgo considers such rumors to be “fabrications.”
Nevertheless, Alvares himself is not giving clear answers to questions about his future. Although he says he is happy under Diyego Simeone, he did not completely rule out the possibility of a transfer in an interview given in March. «Barselona», meanwhile, keeps the Argentine forward at the top of its list as a worthy candidate to replace Robert Levandovski.
