Bayern in talks with Upamecano over a new contract

Munich’s Bayern have not yet reached a final agreement with centre-back Dayot Upamecano on a new contract. This was reported by journalist Maximilian Koch. This is reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to the source, the parties are mainly working on two clauses: the duration of the deal and the conditions for early termination. The option of the player staying with the team until 2030 or 2031 is being discussed. The early-termination clause could take effect from 2027 (at the player’s request) or from 2028 (at the club’s request).
Financial terms are almost settled: it has been agreed that Upamecano’s salary will be €20 million and that he will receive a signing bonus of the same amount. Despite negotiations stretching over a month, the likelihood of the defender staying at the club is rated as high.
This season, the 27-year-old Frenchman has made 24 appearances, scored 1 goal, provided 1 assist and received 7 yellow cards.
