Kazakh chess player Bibisara Assaubayeva, after the 13th round of the Candidates Tournament held in Paphos, Cyprus, congratulated Javokhir Sindorov on his victory. She also answered the fans’ most frequently asked question: “What is your relationship with Javokhir?”
“I am very happy for Javokhir and proud of him. We have known each other for five years, witnessed each other’s achievements, and grew up together. I believe Javokhir is one of the kindest people in the world. I sincerely rejoiced at his victory; he fully deserved it,” said Assaubayeva.
It is worth noting that Javokhir Sindorov’s grandmother had previously commented on the situation, saying the family would not be against it if the young people wanted to be together.
According to information, Sindorov officially secured the Candidates Tournament title with one round left. After round 13, he is leading with 9.5 points. Assaubayeva continues her fight for the championship in the Women’s Candidates Tournament with 7.5 points. The final games will take place on April 15, Wednesday. Assaubayeva will face India’s Divya Deshmukh, who is at the bottom of the standings. Sindorov will play against China’s Wei Yi.
