16 young Uzbek boxers reach the Asian Championship final

The latest crucial stage of the Asian U-15 and U-17 Boxing Championships, hosted in Tashkent, has concluded. Following the completion of the semi-final bouts, the names of the athletes who secured their spots in the finals have been announced.

In the U-17 age category, the Uzbekistan national team once again demonstrated its strength. After the semi-finals, 16 of our boxers advanced to the decisive stage. It is noteworthy that 6 of them are girls and 10 are boys.

This result was the highest among the participating nations. Uzbekistan's young boxers are not only performing confidently on home soil but are also proving their dominance in continental competition.

In terms of the number of finalists, the Kazakhstan national team took second place with 11 boxers, while India rounded out the top three with 9 finalists. These figures once again confirm the high potential, preparation, and willpower of the Uzbek boxing school.

It is worth noting that our boxers also achieved brilliant results in the U-15 age category. In that division, 21 Uzbek athletes secured spots in the finals, marking the best performance.

Today is a rest day in the tournament. Tomorrow, the U-15 final bouts will take place, while the U-17 decisive matches are scheduled for May 15. Fans can look forward to great excitement, intense fights, and uncompromising battles for gold medals.

According to the National Olympic Committee, the Uzbekistan national team is entering the final stage with high hopes and ambitious goals. For these young athletes, this is not just about medals, but an important step toward a professional boxing career.
