Can Artificial Intelligence develop itself?

Renowned AI expert Richard Socher has launched a new startup, Recursive Superintelligence. Based in San Francisco, the project officially announced its operations after raising $650 million in funding. The team includes prominent researchers such as Peter Norvig and Cresta founder Tim Shi. This is reported by Techcrunch.com .

Within the project, experts are working on creating a self-improving AI model. Such a system can identify its own weaknesses without human intervention and redesign itself to address them. This is considered one of the biggest goals in the world of modern technology.

Richard Socher emphasizes that their approach is not just automated research, but a true recursive self-improvement process. The system aims to fully automate the stages of generating, implementing, and verifying ideas.

The technical foundation of the project relies on the concept of "open-endedness." Team member Tim Rocktäschel gained significant experience in this area during his time at Google DeepMind, particularly working on the Genie 3 model. This technology allows AI to understand its own shortcomings and reach a new level.
