The methodology for the ecological classification of forests, developed by the “Green Project” Institute, has become the first comprehensive digital scientific platform dedicated to forest ecosystems in Uzbekistan. This development was presented during the CITES conference.
The platform is built using artificial intelligence, satellite data, and GIS technologies. It includes ecological risk maps, habitats of rare species, and an information database used for conducting monitoring and preparing reports within the framework of CITES.
Representatives of the Ecology Committee, the "Green Project" Institute, international experts, and organizations highlighted that this ecological classification serves as a strategic tool for sustainable forest management and biodiversity conservation.
