Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany commented on comparisons between Luis Diaz and Michael Olise and Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
Colombian Diaz and Frenchman Olise have recently been described as Bayern’s strongest winger duo — fans are calling them the best pair since the Ribery and Robben era.
“For now, I don’t want to compare them. I have great respect for Ribery and Robben, and I also had the chance to play against them. ‘Lucho’ and Michael have to follow their own path. It’s not only about individual quality — team trophies matter too. If they win many major titles with Bayern, then perhaps such comparisons will be justified, but not now,” Kompany said at a press conference.
Recall that Luis Diaz joined Bayern last summer, while Michael Olise joined the team in 2024.
