Officials are being taken on a tour of prisons in Kazakhstan
In Kazakhstan, civil servants are being introduced to the cells where prisoners are held, interrogation rooms, and walking areas for convicts. This was announced by Doniyor Bigaydarov, the head of the country's anti-corruption agency.

It is noted that 2,510 civil servants have undergone such preventive measures in the form of "shock therapy" against the consequences of corruption.

According to Bigaydarov, heads of state bodies, district governors and their deputies, as well as heads of departments and divisions of government apparatuses at various levels visited the institutions for the execution of sentences.

"With these methods, we did not aim to intimidate civil servants. The main goal is that every public sector employee should have an understanding of the consequences of corruption offenses, and know what to expect if he breaks the law,” said a representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency.

It was reported that in Kazakhstan, in 2024, the Anti-Corruption Agency awarded 104 citizens with awards totaling 35.5 million tenge. There has also been an increase in reporting corruption cases among civil servants.
