“Lixiy-2” final disappointed the viewers

The finale of the series' second part, titled “Lixiy,” stirred discontent among viewers. On the Kino-Teatr.RU forum, users called the final episode illogical, emotionless, and confusing.

The rating of “Lixiy-2” dropped from 6.2 to 5.6. According to the story, after the attempt on Slon’s life, the Komsomol thieves declare Krab a traitor.

Faced with a difficult choice, Krab is forced to cooperate with the investigation. The Lixovtsevs try to go into hiding but fail.

They face prison, betrayal by loved ones, and a bloody end on the island in the present day. According to viewers, key events such as the arrest and trial of the Lixovtsevs and the breakup of the “Obshak” were shown far too briefly.

Some described the modern timeline as unnecessary and said they would have preferred more focus on the 1990s. Many were dissatisfied that the corrupt police officer who was guilty of Shapiro’s crime and other offenses went unpunished.

Users noted that the final episode was incomplete and failed to deliver the expected moral conclusion. They also criticized logical gaps in the plot and unexplored characters.

For example, Karmazov and Ilyos had no impact on the development of the story. “Even if you cut out all the scenes involving them, nothing would change in the plot,” said one user.

Despite the criticism of the script, the directing and acting were reviewed positively. In particular, the performances of Evgeniy Golubev and Artem Bistrov were praised.

Viewers appreciated the atmosphere of the 1990s and the humanitarian scene in the finale, when the protagonist returns his son to his mother. “The final episode is completely illogical.

Even though it’s said to be ‘based on true events,’ on the contrary, it all seems fake because of that,” wrote a user under the nickname Neo Kineskop. As a reminder, the first part of “Lixiy” was released in 2023 and was warmly received by viewers, but according to many, the sequel did not reach the level of the original.
