Uzbek singer Madina Bonu Adilova secured second place in the final of the international vocal television project Silk Way Star. The final round was held on November 23 in Astana.
This project is recognized as the first major China-Kazakhstan media initiative implemented under an agreement signed by Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Initially, the competition included representatives from 12 countries, but only seven participants made it to the final stage.
A total of 508,200 votes were cast by viewers. According to the results, Madina Bonu Adilova secured second place with 85,400 votes.
The first place went to Mongolian participant Mishel Joseph, who received 112,200 votes. The third place was claimed by Chinese representative Zhang He Xuan (73,600 votes), followed by Malaysian contestant Yazmin Aziz (73,600 votes) and Armenian representative Saro Gevorgyan (73,100 votes).
