South Korean president apologizes to North Korea for drones

South Korean President Lee Jae-myung apologized for the situation related to the flight of private drones to North Korean territory. According to Yonhap News Agency, the president said in his speech:
"Although the government did not do this, I apologize to North Korea for the unnecessary military tension caused by the negligent actions of others."
Lee Jae-myung also stressed that such provocations are unacceptable. According to TASS, in early January, Pyongyang announced that South Korean drones violated its airspace on September 27 and January 4. The South Korean armed forces denied any involvement in these situations and launched an investigation into the suspected involvement of private individuals.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, in his speech at the Supreme People's Assembly of the 15th convocation, called South Korea an "enemy country," which further increased the tension in relations between the two countries.
