US officials forced to surrender all gifts and gadgets upon return from China

US President Donald Trump and delegation members returned after two days of high-level talks in Beijing. Before boarding Air Force One, White House staff and journalists were required to surrender all items acquired in China, including specialized communication devices, pins, and souvenirs. This was reported by Techcrunch.com reports .

White House press office representatives stated that a special box was placed at the plane's stairs, where all visitors deposited the Chinese items they had collected. New York Post reporter Emily Goodin wrote on the X social network, "Nothing from China was allowed on the plane."

During the visit, influential figures such as Apple CEO Tim Cook and NVIDIA head Jensen Huang were seen wearing pins provided by China. However, for security reasons, all these items were confiscated. Experts believe that Chinese intelligence services may have embedded tracking devices within the gifts.

Additionally, "burner phones" used during the trip were destroyed in accordance with security protocols. Such devices are used to protect sensitive information in regions with high cyberattack risks. The White House has not yet provided an official comment on this matter.
