Business Activity Index in Uzbekistan Rises by 34 Percent

As of October 2025, Uzbekistan's Business Activity Index significantly increased, reaching 1,319 points. According to the Center for Economic Research and Reforms (CERR), this figure is 31.9% higher compared to September and 34.2% higher than the same period last year.

The growth was driven by an increase in bank account transactions, activity in the commodity-exchange market, and the rise in the number of active enterprises. However, there was a slight decrease in trademark registrations. The highest growth was recorded in the regions of Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Samarkand, and the city of Tashkent.

Interbank payment transactions reached 6.57 million, rising by 6.2% compared to the previous month. The turnover of the commodity-exchange market exceeded 7.2 trillion soums.

The number of active enterprises reached 487,700, including growth in small businesses and farming entities. In October, a total of 450 trademarks were registered, which is 0.7% lower compared to September.
