Uzbekistan's Economy Expected to Grow by 5.8% in 2025

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) forecasts that the economy of Central Asia and the Caucasus will grow by 5.8 percent in 2025. Previously, the bank had estimated this growth rate at 5.5 percent.
Next year, the region's gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to grow by 5 percent. These positive projections are attributed to an increase in state investments, a rise in remittances, and stable domestic demand.
The bank has also revised upward its forecasts for the economies of developing countries in the Asia-Pacific region. This year, the GDP of the region is expected to grow by 5.1 percent, while next year’s growth is projected at 4.6 percent.
For China's economy, the growth forecast for the current year has been raised to 4.8 percent, while for India, it has been increased to 7.2 percent. Meanwhile, the economy of Southeast Asia is anticipated to grow by 4.5 percent, supported by positive performance in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
The ADB identified key risk factors, including the re-escalation of trade tensions, geopolitical pressures, fluctuations in financial markets, and significant deterioration in China’s real estate market. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
