Bivol's ex-wife was punished for an insulting video

In October 2025, a controversial video was widely circulated on the Internet, in which Yekaterina Bivol - the ex-wife of famous boxer Dmitry Bivol - said insulting words about Kyrgyz and Kazakhs, which caused sharp public outrage. The appearance in the video quickly spread on social networks and was strongly condemned by users from different countries, and the debates intensified significantly.
Recently, a legal decision was made on this case. The St. Petersburg court found Ekaterina Bivol guilty under Article 20.3.1 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses - incitement of hatred or enmity, and sentenced her to 60 hours of community service. This was reported by RIA Novosti Sport.
It can be said that this decision has once again reminded social media of the idea that "every word has its answer." What is said on the Internet also "doesn't disappear" - especially if it comes down to interethnic insults.
