A joint operation by the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes revealed the illegal actions of the head of one of the markets in Dehqanabad district.
The investigation revealed that the official, using his official position, offered to sell a store on the market territory that did not have official documents to a citizen who wanted to start a business. Later, he promised to register this store in the name of the entrepreneur and demanded 80 million soums for this “service”.
During the operation, the head was caught taking 6,600 US dollars from the entrepreneur, and this was confirmed by physical evidence.
A criminal case has been opened and an active investigation is underway. The goal is to hold those responsible accountable and ensure transparency in the market.
This incident is seen as a major signal to local residents and entrepreneurs against the old system of corruption and is important for maintaining a legal and fair environment in the market.
