Intensive preparations for the International Flower Festival begin in Namangan

Large-scale preparations are underway in Namangan ahead of the 65th International Flower Festival. It has been announced that nearly 5 million seasonal flowers are being planted across the city and districts for the event.

According to Egypt's Sada al-Balad publication, this traditional flower festival in Namangan was first organized in August 1961. Since 2018, it has held international status, welcoming guests and participants from various countries.

This year's festival marks the 65th anniversary. In recent years, the event has become recognized as a unique cultural brand not only in Uzbekistan but also on the international stage.

Reports suggest there is a possibility that this year's festival will be entered into the Guinness World Records. Work is currently underway to set a record for the most flowers planted in one month. The process is being monitored by Guinness representatives, including Dubai-based expert Kanzi Defrawy, based on international standards.

The International Flower Festival will run from May 24 to July 12. The program includes gala concerts, drone shows, car parades, open-air symphonic concerts, a fashion week, various exhibitions, and international forums dedicated to tourism and investment.

Organizers emphasize that the colorful flowers being planted along the city streets are expected to leave an unforgettable impression on visitors to Namangan.
