Crops artificially protected from hail in Namangan

Crops artificially protected from hail in Namangan'iy zaiflashtirildi

Anti-hail operations were carried out in the Kosonsoy and Yangikurgan districts of the Namangan region. A total of 57 'Alazan-6' anti-hail rockets were used on May 1, 11, and 12.

As a result, potential hail processes in the areas were artificially weakened. Experts emphasize that such measures serve to protect agricultural crops from the harmful effects of hail.

In recent years, due to climate change, heavy downpours, short-term precipitation, and hail events have increased during the spring season. Intense rainfall over short periods increases the risk of flash floods.

Special units within the Uzhydromet system are currently continuing anti-hail measures in the Namangan, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya regions. Experts warn that short-term hail may still occur in some areas even after cloud seeding.
