In the Shofirkon district of the Bukhara region, a 35-year-old man was held administratively liable for slapping his wife following a domestic dispute.
According to reports, a disagreement between the couple escalated into a fight, during which the man slapped his wife. Following the incident, the woman contacted law enforcement, and the man was processed by officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
By court decision, the man was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention. He expressed remorse for his actions, apologized to the public, and emphasized that such an incident would not happen again.
Experts remind that family conflicts should not escalate into violence and that any disagreement must be resolved peacefully. This case once again demonstrates that there is legal accountability for domestic violence.
