Yesterday, the World U-20 and Senior Amateur MMA (IMMAF) Championships kicked off in Tbilisi, Georgia. This prestigious tournament is one of the largest MMA events of the year, in which about twenty national teams from different countries of the world are participating.

Naturally, the Uzbekistan national team is also demonstrating its skills and potential in this championship. The competitions of the second day are in full swing, and the athletes of our country also started with their victories.

Uzbek fighter Azizbek Safarov, competing in the 57.6 kg weight category, fought his English opponent Taylor Parkinsyn in a fight that lasted three rounds. At the end of the fight, the judges unanimously awarded the victory to our compatriot. Safarov's technically perfect movements and level of preparation deemed him worthy of a place in the next round.

Another compatriot, Nozim Sotvoldiyev, demonstrated his skill and strength even more convincingly. He won the fans' applause by knocking out his English opponent Danny Butt with a powerful shot in the very first round.

These victories at the World Championship in Tbilisi once again proved that the young fighters of our country can demonstrate their potential and talent on the international stage.
