Dani Alves was acquitted after 839 days in prison

Famous Brazilian footballer Dani Alves was acquitted by the Catalan Supreme Court after being held in prison for a long time. The charges of rape against him were dismissed.

According to reports, Alves spent 839 days in prison. During the trial, the victim's testimony was deemed unreliable. According to court documents, when the events he spoke about were verified by video recordings, it was found that they did not correspond to reality.

Therefore, the jury recognized his innocence, and Alves was released. But the matter may not end there. Because the prosecutor's office did not make this decision and officially filed an appeal. This increases the likelihood of the case being reviewed by the Spanish Supreme Court.
