Chevrolet Cobalt 2025 has received new technical updates, Kursiv.media reported. According to UzAuto Motors, the gasoline B-DOHC (B15D2) engine is now equipped with the DVCP (Dual Variable Cam Phasing) system, which controls gas distribution on both camshafts. A new control unit has also been installed on the engine.
The automatic transmission has been re-tuned — the previously reported issue by drivers of slow shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear has been resolved.
The DVCP technology provides stronger torque at low RPMs and smooth acceleration at medium and high RPMs. The throttle response has significantly improved, and "jerking" in city driving has noticeably decreased.
The manufacturer recommends using 0W20 (Dexos1) oil. For hot weather and mixed driving, 5W30 (Dexos1) is also suitable. Oil quality directly affects the operation and service life of the DVCP system.
