Rustam Kasimdzhanov became the head coach of the Uzbekistan national chess team

On October 28, 2025, Rustam Kasimdzhanov was appointed head coach of the Uzbekistan men's national chess team. Kasimdzhanov is an international grandmaster and the 2004 World Chess Federation (FIDE) champion.
