A new head coach has been appointed to the Serbian national team
Veljko Paunović has been officially announced as the new head coach of the Serbian national football team. This was reported by the press service of the Football Association of Serbia.

Paunović previously worked at Spain’s "Real Oviedo" club. The Serbian coach managed to advance this club from Segunda to La Liga after several years’ break.

In November, the Serbian national team will face important matches in the World Cup qualifying stage. On November 13, Serbia will play against England away, and on November 16, they will host Latvia at home.

Currently, Serbia is in third place in its group with 10 points, just one point behind the team in second place.

Prior to this, the Serbian national team was managed by Dragan Stojković. He was dismissed in October after the team lost to Albania.
