The Uzbekistan national football team is beginning preparations for the next crucial stage. The Uzbekistan Football Association's press service has announced the expanded list of players called up for the training camp in Tashkent. Preparation process and plans
The Uzbekistan national team will hold training sessions at the 'National Football Center' in our capital from May 6 to May 26. Under the leadership of experienced specialist Fabio Cannavaro it is planned that our representatives will play closed-door friendly matches against domestic Super League clubs during this camp. These matches will be a convenient opportunity to assess the current form of the players and test new tactical schemes.
Expanded squad and key names
The announced list includes nearly 40 players. In the goalkeeping position, along with leaders like Utkir Yusupov and Abduvohid Nematov, Vladimir Nazarov and Botirali Ergashev have also been called up. In the defensive line, one can see experienced and promising players such as Rustamjon Ashurmatov, Farrukh Sayfiyev, and Abdukodir Khusanov.
Injuries and late arrivals
It should be noted that there are some losses and expected returns in the squad:
Injured players: Jaloliddin Masharipov, Khusain Norchaev, Behruz Karimov, Abdulla Abdullaev, Azizjon Ganiev, and Sherzod Temirov are currently undergoing recovery.
