Disney plans to create a 'super app' to unify all its services

According to Bloomberg, Disney leadership is working on creating a single "super app" by integrating its Disney+ streaming service with other platforms like Disneyland Resort and Disney Cruise Line Navigator. Although this project is still in the early stages, it is being referred to by that name within the company. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
Disney Chairman Josh D’Amaro intends to simplify the company's experience and further strengthen the connection between Disney+ and its parks. According to him, Disney+ should become the main link with fans, and all services should be consolidated there.
This initiative resembles Elon Musk's idea of turning the X platform into an "everything app" similar to China's WeChat. However, Disney's goal is not global functions like payments or messaging, but rather to consolidate its mobile platforms into a single ecosystem.
Experts believe that D’Amaro aims to increase company revenue by attracting Disney+ subscribers to the parks. Nevertheless, since streaming service users and park visitors are not always the same audience, the app becoming overly saturated with advertisements could cause inconvenience for users.
