The Dutch racer and “Red Bull” team member Max Verstappen won the 22nd round of the Formula 1 season — the Las Vegas Grand Prix. The second place was secured by “McLaren” driver Lando Norris, while George Russell of “Mercedes” claimed the third spot.
Verstappen maintained a confident lead throughout the race, crossing the finish line nearly 21 seconds ahead of his competitors. Norris faced technical issues in the final segment of the track but managed to hold onto second place.
Russell landed in third place. The fourth position was taken by “McLaren” driver Oscar Piastri.
“Ferrari” representative Charles Leclerc finished sixth, overtaken by “Mercedes” driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli. Carlos Sainz from “Williams” ranked seventh, while the new “Racing Bulls” member Isack Hadjar and “Sauber” driver Nico Hülkenberg followed in the next positions.
After the race, FIA announced that “McLaren” might have violated technical regulations. If confirmed, Norris and Piastri could face disqualification.
The 28-year-old Verstappen is a four-time world champion (2021–2024). He has now equaled Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel in the number of championships won.
In the 2023 season, Verstappen set records for the most wins in a single year (19) and the most consecutive wins (10). The next round, the Qatar Grand Prix, is scheduled to take place from November 28–30.
The 2025 season is set to feature a total of 24 races.
