In the French Super Cup, PSG beat Marseille in dramatic fashion. Regular time ended 2–2, and in the penalty shootout the Parisians were more accurate, winning 4–1. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
After the match, PSG head coach Luis Enrique noted that luck also played a part in the victory. According to him, the team’s players and goalkeeping coaches work tirelessly for moments like these.
“There was a bit of luck in this win. But our players and goalkeeping coaches work for situations like this. I’m happy for Chevalier and Safonov: whenever it comes down to penalties, they show their level,” Culture PSG quotes Enrique as saying.
In the match, Chevalier saved two shots from Marseille players and played a key role in the shootout. Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov missed the Super Cup game due to a hand injury.
